Members are reminded that the river close season comes in to force from 15th March until 16th June including the canalised section of the Churnet at Consall Forge, this also applies to the pools at Consall as a condition of our agreement with the RSPB. We have also reintroduced the traditional pike fishing season to protect our pike stocks following some unfortunate losses last year, the close season for pike fishing begins on 15th March until 1st October.
